Night at the Museo

One of classmates told me that as a special, once per year the Art Galleies and Museums are free.
So she organised to met at the spanish steps, then try to see some of the Musei.

We ended up at the MUSEI CAPITOLINI. After waiting in a queue for about 20 minutes (While watching a free concert) we finally go inside. There was to also be some opera in a room upstairs somewhere, but we found out that there was yet another queue.

The museum is absolutly fantasic. The building is several hundred years old and the contents even older, some thousands of years old.

After going to the other wing and heading upstairs to see some paintings, we stumbled into the Opera room.
Waited til some other left and grabbed our seats. Now this was very special, sitiing in an old balroom or similar, in a palace hundreds of yars old, surounded by incredible paintings listening to songs that have been sung for many many years.

And 1000's of bustst and statues... and on the way home a photo of the ruins of the forum.
